FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
7-15-1996
Hartland, WI. Rapco, Inc. introduces a new generation material for their
non-asbestos organic linings.
The new generation material will provide 2.375
time more wear life than previous Rapco linings and
other conventional linings. The following linings are affected; RA66-105, RA66-106, RA66-108
and RA66-109.
| Future production of these part numbers will also have a
new wear limit indicator stamped in both ends of the brake pad. The semi-circle indicator is indented to the wear limit. According to Mike Lotzer, Sales Manager, this is in response to requests from field mechanics, "A&P’s have requested a system to help them determine quickly when a brake change is needed. This product improvement will do just that for no added cost." According to Pat White, Marketing Manager, "Rapco has received many comments from mechanic expressing surprise that a non-OEM would be the first to dramatically improve the performance and characteristics of general aviation brake linings." Mike Lotzer states "Our superior lining and product enhancements will help Rapco gain a larger share of the after-market brake market."
